Hi. I just got a Samsung Saga from Verizon a few weeks ago, as a replacement for my second bricked HTC Ozone. I have the latest version of Mobile Speak smartphone installed. I've noticed a few major annoyances with the device over the last few weeks or so, and I wonder if anyone has one and can help.
1. The optical mouse that serves as the arrow keys will work with Mobile Speak turned on for awhile, and then suddenly quits without warning. The only thing that fixes it is a complete removal and reinstall of Mobile Speak, and then the cycle continues. Yes, I have to uninstall/reinstall Mobile Speak at least once weekly.
2. Whenever I dial, Mobile speak complains that it's about to expire. Actually...No, it's not. that license is tied to my phone number, which I've had for 8 years, so it shouldn't be whining. Note, this can also happen out of the blue. The phone could be sitting in my purse, screen locked, and start yammering that ms is going to expire in 12 hours. This happens at least four or five times, daily. Before you suggest screw MS and buy an iPhone, no, that's not an option, unless one of you knows where the money tree is. I've gone through the proper channels, submitted a ticket to Code Factory, (have yet to hear back), read all the manuals, it's not the user, it's not the phone, it's CF's software. CF swears the Saga's a supported device but I'm really starting to doubt that. Does anyone have one, and have you had these issues? What more can I do? yes, I've factory reset the phone, and no, it didn't help. Ideas? suggestions? thoughts? other than throwing the off-pissing (note I didn't say offending), device out the window? Any help at all would be appreciated. This is slowly driving me crazier. LOL
thanks,
Krista
Did you disable the option that says "disable manufacture hardware settings"? Try that outside of that not sure I to am still whating fore a fix fore my text Messages fore my HD2.
I will help you strangle any way who screems Iphone, then as I am strangling them I will ask where you or I could get the money to just traid phones in and some of us networks on the fly.
Remind me again where the disable manufacturer hardware settings option lives? Is it in one of the Mobile Speak dialogs? I haven't seen that option anywhere in the phone yet and I've combed through those settings more times than I care to count. And yeah, I'd love an iPhone, but I've still yet to find the money tree. LOL
The feature you want to check is in phone settings upnder configure mobile speak. I just cechk very recently to make sure I am telling you the right thing. As fore code factery getting back to you it sucks!. I have issues with texting and so far nothing yet.
